The Science North - Roots & Shoots Challenge

The Challenge is an incentive for Roots & Shoots groups in northern Ontario to complete community service projects and share their stories with others.

To participate, follow these simple steps:

  1. Register as a Roots & Shoots group by clicking on "Join Roots & Shoots!" on the left side of this page.

  2. Register for the Challenge by Friday, December 11, 2009 by sending an email to roots_shoots@janegoodall.ca with your group name, grade and a teacher contact.

  3. Complete a community service project that revolves around people, animals or the environment – or all three!

  4. Document your actions and share them in a creative format (for example, in a video, Power Point presentation or written document with pictures). Upload your entry on the Roots & Shoots website from April 1-30, 2010.

  5. Winners will be announced by Friday, May 28, 2010 and prize money will be awarded to support your group’s next project.
