Getting around our website isn't difficult, but this page will help you know why and when you should be using the Global or the Canadian website.
There are two websites that will be useful to you as a Roots & Shoots member. Please read below to learn the difference between the Roots & Shoots Canada site and the Global Roots & Shoots website, and what different services and member benefits each offers.

This is where you can log in to the global network and connect with Roots & Shoots groups around the world.

On the Roots & Shoots Canada website, you can:
Access useful resources
- Get informed and take action on the latest national campaign, including Planet Releaf, our 2010-2011 forest campaign.
- Download guidebooks, worksheets, tip-sheets and more from “Members’ Corner” to identify, research, and organize your project and find steps to take action.
- Read the web pages “Roots & Shoots in Action” and “Ideas & Inspiration” to get up to date on what other Canadian groups are doing and to get ideas for your next project.
Get Canadian-specific info
- Check out the “News & Events” page to find out about upcoming events, read about past activities, and get the scoop on when and where Dr. Goodall will be in Canada next.
Receive our publications
- Once you’re registered, you will automatically receive the Roots & Shoots Canada e-newsletter, The Dirt, our monthly e-alerts. Back issues of The Dirt are on the website.
Get set up in the global network
- Once you have registered on the Roots & Shoots Canada website, your info is submitted for registration on the global website. Allow approximately 2 weeks for your login and password to be set up in the system. You will be notified when your global account is ready.
- Go to this address: www.rootsandshoots.org/members/login to login as a member.
On the Global Roots & Shoots website, you can:
Log in with your email and password to access the global network
- You can also gain access to the site for up to 50 group members!
Connect with Roots & Shoots youth in 120 countries
- Find other Roots & Shoots groups in the directory and send them private correspondence through the online members’ database.
- Visit the online discussion boards to discuss important topics and exchange ideas.
Access useful resources
- Check out the Online Project Database to find ideas for projects, created by groups just like yours. And don’t forget to upload your own projects onto the database to inspire others!
- Visit the Resource Centre that has articles, research materials, newsletters and annual reports.
Update your group’s Online Profile
- Keep your info up-to-date to interact with other groups and to ensure we can contact you.
